CMMC+ is a more sportive variation on CMMC. Fitted with an extra loop, it creates two separate compartments in the back, to easily store pens, business cards and a phone. Both compact and practical, it’s that basic piece everyone needs.

The handbag was named after CMMC - the performance duo of Myrthe van der Mark and Céline Mathieu. Lies Mertens represented their powerful personalities in a definite design.
We use a minimum of zippers and metals to increase the longevity of your bag.

Exterior: Italian leather.
Interior: Ivory coloured leather lining.
All our leather is certified with an LWG Silver or Gold rating. Ensuring the leather is tanned responsibly. Read more about our leather here.
We recommend spraying your bag with a water repellent coating such as Nanex, to avoid marks caused by raindrops.
Vegan leather
Exterior: MycaNova ® a vegan leather alternative
Interior: Recycled microfiber suede in ivory
MycaNova® is a product of Citribel, a Belgian company specialised in the production of citric acid. Citribel uses sugar molasses, a residual product from the nearby sugar factory in Tienen, and ferments it into citric acid, during which mycelium is formed. Until recently, mycelium was considered a waste product. Today, it is dried and ground into powder which, combined with binding agents and backing materials, becomes a vegan leather alternative. Just like animal leather, MycaNova® is elastic, sturdy, wear-resistant, scratch-resistant and tactile. But also rainproof and fully customisable in colour and texture. In every square meter of MycaNova®, 20 to 60 grams of plastic is replaced with mycelium. We are proud to be the first Belgian brand to launch a product made from this innovative Belgian biomaterial.
To keep the impact on our planet low, we invest in a production process that:

Returns
We hope you will love everything that you order from us, but if something isn’t quite right, you have 14 days to return. Contact hello@liesmertens.be including your order ID & name and we will arrange a return for you.
