Team trip to Provence

Team trip to Provence

inspiration, meet the people

Reminiscing en Provence

After 6 years of building the brand, trying and testing new materials, designs and partnerships, it was time to retell why I started designing in the first place. Together with the team, we went to the South of France to reminisce about what we do and why we do it.

The result is a movie in collaboration with Studio Alfons Meyer.

"When creating a bag I look for a balance between practicality and design. Something that is long lasting and future-proof. Well-thought through from the materials I use to the partners I choose."

We create from a place of curiosity, responsibility and playfulness. Our aim is to design a bag for your everyday belongings and daily activities.

"I find inspiration in simple, everyday things."

it can be in the chaos of the city

or the calmness of nature

Meet the team's favourite bags

Every bag is named after a person. An individual we find truly inspiring — a close friend, a mentor, an artist or someone who has a fascinating skill. The process from idea to design is shaped by the conversations we have, connecting their functional wants and needs to a design that fits our aesthetic. The team supports me in this process. They are my sounding board. When I am in doubt, not fully sure on how to proceed, they provide guidance. So it felt right to shine a light on Chris, Leni, Anne and Julia — accompanied by their favourite bag.

"The db wine bag is practical yet edgy. Even when I'm wearing a simple outfit, this bag always adds a touch of spice."

— Julia, marketing & communication

The shape of the d.b wine bag is inspired by its material - leftovers from the wine industry. This bag can not just hold your keys, wallet, and phone but even a small sweater (or a wine bottle and an opener).

"The bag is super versatile as I can easily switch it from a handbag to a crossbody bag"

— Leni, production & design

A bag named after Marijke, the director of the Philippe Van Snick Estate. The bag itself transforms from a handbag to a crossbody bag thanks to the double strap system.

"Its minimalistic design spoke to me from the very first moment, and it truly resonates with my aesthetic"

— Chris, business development

A bag named after Casper, an abstract visual artist. The crossbody, unisex bag stays close to the body. An everyday classic, but especially handy for trips around the city.

"A small bag that fits exactly what I need: phone, keys, wallet and some make-up. The architectural shape is in line with my love for clean forms. "

— Anne, boutique

Lies mini is a smaller variant of the Lies bag. It has one main compartment with a zipper and two extra side pockets. With its adjustable strap, you can easily transform it from a crossbody to a shoulder bag. Mini, but efficient.

"I made this bag for myself. It represents my love for combining everyday utility with a straightforward and timeless design."

— Lies, founder & designer

The inspiration for the design originated while constructing the Ed bag - influenced by graphical shapes, a mix between triangles and squares. The multiple compartments, zipper and adjustable strap make it one of our most practical yet elegant bags.
