Shipping
We use primarily Bpost Express for domestic, DPD for deliveries within Europe and UPS for deliveries outside of Europe. Below you can find an overview of our delivery times and shipping fees.
Please note that delivery times are after being dispatched. We will dispatch orders on Monday and Thursday. We do not dispatch orders over the weekend. Any order placed after 10 am on Friday will be dispatched the following Monday during our opening hours.
Free shipping does not apply on sale or stock sale items.
All shipments are insured for the value of the merchandise and require a signature. Make sure to always double-check your shipping address when placing your order.
Shipping price does not include duty or customs charges that may be incurred on shipment to countries outside the European Union. The brand will not be responsible for these expenses.

Returns & Exchanges
Returns & Exchanges
To return or exchange an item: log in to your account, go to your order, and click Return items. You'll choose the item, the reason, and submit your request directly — no need to email us first.
If you have questions, or need help with something the portal can't handle, email us at boutique@liesmertens.be with your order number and the reason for your return or exchange.
You have 14 days from the date you receive your order to request a return or exchange. Purchases made in December get an extended period of 30 days, due to the holidays.
All items must be unused, in perfect condition, and returned in their original packaging. Sale items, stock sale items, and embossed or customised items cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded.
Exchanges
If you'd like to exchange your item for something else, we'll cover the shipping cost. We'll send you a return label and issue you a store credit so you can place a new order. Any remaining value stays on your account as credit, which you can use on a future purchase or have refunded.
Returns
If you'd like a refund instead, we'll send you a return label and deduct the return shipping fee from your refund once we receive the item back. Fees depend on your location:

For shipments outside the EU, any customs or duty charges are the customer's responsibility and aren't included in the fee above.
A note on craftsmanship
Your Lies Mertens handbag is handmade in Italy and Tunisia. Because of this craftsmanship and our material choices, slight irregularities can occur. Fabric nubs, minor markings, or small variations in colour are part of the handmade process and aren't considered defects.
