Shipping
We use primarily Bpost Express for domestic, DPD for deliveries within Europe and UPS for deliveries outside of Europe. Below you can find an overview of our delivery times and shipping fees.
Please note that delivery times are after being dispatched. We will dispatch orders from Monday to Friday. We do not dispatch orders over the weekend. Any order placed after 10 am on Friday will be dispatched the following Monday during our opening hours.
Free shipping does not apply on sale or stock sale items.
All shipments are insured for the value of the merchandise and require a signature. Make sure to always double-check your shipping address when placing your order.
Shipping price does not include duty or customs charges that may be incurred on shipment to countries outside the European Union. The brand will not be responsible for these expenses.

Returns & Exchanges
Would you like to return or exchange your purchase? Please email us at boutique@liesmertens.com with the following information:
- Order number
- The reason for your return or exchange.
It is not possible to return on sale or stock sale items.
If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase and would like to exchange it for another product, we will cover shipping costs. We will send you a return label and issue a store credit for you to place an order with the product you want instead. Any remaining value can be refunded or used on a future purchase.
However, if you wish to return the item altogether, please use the listing to check the rates:
- Belgium, The Netherlands & Luxembourg: 12,- euro
- Other EU countries & UK: 18,- euro
- Switzerland & Norway: 50,- euro
- Other countries: 65,- euro
We will send you a return label and once the package arrived back to us, we will deduct a return shipping fee from the refunded amount. Returns do not apply on stock sale items and embossed items.

We expect returns or exchanges up to 14 days from the date of purchase. All goods must be returned unused and in perfect condition, and shipped in their original packaging.
Purchases made in the month December get an extended return period of 30 days, due to the holidays.
Your Lies Mertens handbag has been carefully made by hand in Italy & Tunisia. Due to the hand-craftsmanship and our unique material choices, slight irregularities may be noticeable. We do not consider fabric nubs, minor markings, or inconsistencies in colour as a defect.
