Meet Lien
After working as a gallery assistant at Geukens & De Vil, Lien Craps curated her first show ‘Silence is so accurate’, a group show immersed in various forms of silence, by 15 different, both local & international, artists.
This subject might come as a surprise for those who know Lien, with a loud voice, a talkative personality and a busy lifestyle, silent or calm aren’t the first words to describe Lien. But maybe today's constant flux of impressions, being available for everybody and a never slowing down city life is exactly why many people, including Lien herself, go looking for silence on purpose.
When she started with the concept she created a list of all the artists she wanted in her show. Out of all 16 artists, 15 of them said yes - something she didn’t expect, but it sure sets a pace and motivation.
Inspired by Lien’s ambitions and mindset on life, Lies created the Lien bag. Most importantly Lien needed a handbag that fits a lot and as a daily commuter between Antwerp & Brussels Lien wanted a handbag that suited many occasions. And so the LIEN bag was born, its minimalist design is perfect for the office, dinner with friends and everything in-between.
